Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic MAAC Coaches Tour
Sport Changes Life is hosting, in partnership with the MAAC and the Naismith Hall of Fame, the Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic in Dec 2017. As part of the preparation for the Belfast Classic the MAAC has agreed to send 4 D1 women’s coaches to Ireland to hold clinics for coaches and players in advance of the event as part of our community outreach and commitment to establishing impact in the game of basketball itself.
Trish Fabbri (Quinnipiac University) – Edel Thornton from Brunel as you know is with Quinnipiac and they went to the sweet 16 this year.
Lynn Milligan (Rider University) who was MAAC coach of the year 2017

Two other MAAC representatives: Jessica Hegmann, Senior Associate Commissioner & Alexis Wayne, Director of Women’s Basketball will also be travelling.
Cork Ladies Board are hosting a clinic on
Thursday 18th May Parochial Hall, Cork 7pm – 10pm
The topics that will be covered are : 1. Shooting 2. Minimising turnovers 3. Rebounding, particularly on the offensive glass. The MAAC coaches will deliver 45 min sessions on each of these themes for players and coaches. At the end of the 45 min clinic, there will be time for a Q&A with coaches in attendance.
