Cork clubs progress into the next round of 2016 Boys U18 National Shield

Ballincollig and Blue Demons Boys U18 teams progressed into the next round of 2016 National Shield competition.
Ballincollig team defeated Kilkenny Stars 84-56 in their first game of the campaign played on 31-Jan-2016. Ballincollig will now play Limerick Lakers team whom they played already in Cork U18A league this season.
Blue Demons Boys U18 beat UCD Marian in preliminary round of the National Cup shield competition on 23-Jan-2016. Conor Deasy and Dylan Brickley’s troops Demons started well and lead 16-9 at the end of the 1st quarter. Demons upped the scoring in the 2nd quarter to lead 42-35 at half time. The second half of the game a tight affair as Marian gambled to get back into the game but Demons ran out winners on a scoreline of 79-70 to advance to the next round where we will play Killester.
