Congratulations to Ballincollig BC on winning Boys U14A All Ireland Club Championship in Derry. Ballincollig defeated Cork neighbors Blue Demons in the final 59-24 at the Foyle Arena on 9th of April 2017. Ballincollig performed consistently well throughout the championship and continued on fine form into the final against Blue Demons taking a 2 point lead by the end of the first quarter. Blue Demons struggled in the second quarter and found themselves 15 down, 26-11, at half time after a very poor quarter. Demons fought hard in the remainder of the game but failed to recover from the deficit as F. Schmitz of Ballincollig helped to secure the win for his side as the game’s top goal scorer with 16 points.
