New Irish Senior Men’s Head Coach, Pete Strickland, is arriving in Dublin this weekend and will be hosting a number of coaching clinics around the country during his stay. Strickland, who was appointed to the role back in November, will be in Ireland for the Men’s Super Series weekend in the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght this coming Saturday and Sunday (January 21st and 22nd) and also for the Hula Hoops National Cup finals next weekend (January 27-29th). While here, he will be hosting three major coaching clinics in Dublin, Galway and Cork.
On Monday, January 23rd, Strickland will do a session with any senior schools players who have been involved in an International Programme in Neptune Stadium from 1pm to 4pm. Girls are invited to attend from 1pm to 2.30pm with the boys’ session taking place from 2.30pm to 4pm.
On Tuesday, January 24th, Strickland will run a Coaching Clinic and Q&A with Cork coaches with John McHale as MC. The clinic will be held in the Ambassador Hotel with sign in at 7.30pm and the event running from 8pm – 10pm with a €5 entry fee.
