Emmett Neville Tournament 2012
Neptune Basketball Club are excited to announce the running
of the 3rd annual Boys national tournament in memory of our dear
team mate and friend Emmett Neville who sadly passed away in 2003. This event is growing in stature each year and this
year’s tournament promises to be even better given the positive reaction issued
by clubs for last years tournament. Expressions of interest in playing in this years
tournament are invited from clubs who would like to be included. The tournament will take place in Neptune Stadium on
Saturday 24th March 2012 and is open to players born on or after
01/01/1998.
This will be a one day event and will give teams from
outside Cork plenty of scope to return home (should they choose to) in
reasonable time thus reducing the costs. The grade is U14 Boys and we feel this would be a good
stepping stone for teams involved in the upcoming U14 all Ireland Championships
and also for clubs to gain experience from playing the best teams Ireland has
to offer.
We look forward to hearing from Clubs wishing to take
part, places are limited and closing dates for entry is 17th Feb or
until entry quota has been reached.
